This box of 25 rounds from Fiocchi Extrema is a very popular 7.62 X 35 mm ammunition in the 300 AAC Blackout standard. This type of ammunition was designed for use in the M4 in order to compete with the ballistics of soviet 7.62 X 39 mm rounds produced at the time. With significant stopping power, this ammunition is a tactical option similar to those used in the US military.
This 125 grain ammunition utilizes Super Shock Tip (SST) bullet technology to effect an impressive ballistic coefficient with low drag. The polymer at the tip of the bullet prevents deformation upon firing, but still allows for round expansion upon impact, creating a very versatile tactical round. It has a muzzle velocity of 2,200 fps and a muzzle energy of 1,343 ft-lbs and is considered tactically effective up to 500 yards. The brass casings are Boxer-primed and non-corrosive, manufactured by Fiocchi for reliability and to be a reloadable option for dedicated marksmen.
Fiocchi is an Italian manufacturer of ammunition in operation since the 1870s, but produces much of the ammunition for the US market in Missouri with a manufacturing plant there. They are known for manufacturing rare and uncommon calibers for collectors, but translate that craftsmanship to their 300 AAC ammunition seen here.
