This 300 AAC Blackout cartridge by Fiocchi features Sierra’s 220 grain MatchKing projectile. The MatchKing is optimized for hair-splitting accuracy in virtually way, from its microscopically concentric jacket to its narrow hollow point meplat. This bullet sports a tapered base which appreciably improves its ballistic coefficient, and accordingly gives it a flat trajectory, superior resistance to wind drift, and the ability to retain a great deal of its momentum downrange.
This round’s relatively heavy bullet assures that its muzzle velocity consistently falls below the sonic threshold. Its soft report is not only ideal for situations where you’d like to train discreetly, but also combines nicely with a silencer to make your rifle quiet as a mouse.
