Calling Winchester’s AA Diamond Grade Elite Trap 12 Gauge ammunition “good” would be like calling a perfectly aged, seasoned and grilled Texan Aberdeen Angus tomahawk steak “good.” In other words, it would be an understatement. This trap and sporting clays ammo is the best, and it only requires firing one box to appreciate why.

This shotshell is charged up with 1-1/8 ounces of shot, which it expels from the muzzle at a velocity of 1,250 fps. Perfectly standard so far. But because Winchester makes this shell’s Diamond Grade shot pellets out of 8% antimony lead, they are virtually immune to deformation as they rocket through the barrel. The precision sorted pellets only deliver a tighter spread thanks to Winchester’s signature AA wad, which compresses to cancel out recoil energy before it reaches the shot and creates an efficient gas seal to promote even more consistent patterning.

This ammo is loaded with Winchester’s best-in-class noncorrosive primers and fast-burning powder. Its hulls would be wasted if they weren’t handloaded – especially since they feature nickel-plated caps, which secure clockwork feeding and extraction in any make and model shotgun.
