Upon ignition of the primer, shot is traditionally compressed once upon ignition of the primer, second against the forcing cone of the barrel, and lastly against the choke as the shot exits the barrel. The steel shot of the Fiocchi 12ga #3 Steel Shot 3” 1 ⅛ is not susceptible to these forces of compression, and allows for a tighter, more aerodynamic shot pattern over traditional leaded shotshells.
