This round sports a 125 grain open tip projectile. Contrary to what your first impression of it might be, this bullet’s hollow point design doesn’t mean it mushrooms outward throughout penetration. The bullet’s tip has that opening because its core was poured in through there, enabling it to settle into place within the jacket to ensure superior stability in flight. The bullet’s thin, concentric jacket and needle-like meplat further serve to promote great accuracy. With its 2,850 fps muzzle velocity, we place this bullet’s ballistic coefficient at 0.371.
