“XP” stands for Extreme Point. It’s a bullet that’s certainly deserving of its name, as its polymer tip is over twice as wide in diameter as normal. The bullet’s broad, smooth and streamlined polymer meplat gently parts aside air molecules as it helps to promote a flatter trajectory and greater energy transfer on impact. At least 1,000 ft lbs of energy up until about 640 yards!
The Extreme Point’s closing act is its most impressive. Its massive tip rests on the thin rim of its contoured copper jacket, and is also embedded within its alloyed lead core’s nose cavity. Sudden impact elicits crippling energy transfer accompanied by devastating terminal expansion!
