A bulk pack of Premium .223 Rem ammunition that is about as good as it gets for tight twist barrels, topped with a Sierra Match King Bullet. This package price represents some of the best ammunition for the money for those that absolutely need top tier accuracy factory loaded rounds.
If you were to eliminate the Sierra Match King projectile from the component parts, you would still have a fantastically accurate load given any of the nominal HP bullets available in the Federal Premium ecosystem. The case tolerances, the weight of powder and the attention to detail that these cartridges get is a significantly better than most mainstream ammunition lines. The fact that the Sierra Match King projectile is part of the equation though, puts two of the best ammunition component makers in harmony together to produce a truly fine round for shooting paper or moving targets. It is an exceptional hunting round for moderate or large game up to and including deer.
Where this round really does its best work however is in match use and on long range paper and steel targets. It is also exceptionally well received in bolt action firearms and heavily modified, high tolerance guns where shot for shot, more consistency in the ammunition is needed.
