This is a top tier 7mm Rem Mag cartridge from the Federal Premium Vital-Shok line, with the proven Nosler partition bullet. The 160 grain load offers a great bit of heft to the already very hearty performance of the 7mm Rem Mag and offers significant stopping power for large game in North American and beyond. The configuration isn’t touting a ton of new technology, rather it is equipped with proven technology and consistency that cannot be found in just about anything else on the market.
The cartridge starts with a Boxer primer in a premium brass cartridge casing which allows for reloading of the heavy Magnum Belted cases. The super clean powder is utilized to get maximum burn and top tier performance out of the Nosler branded projectile which moves out of the bore at 2950 feet per second and delivers 3091 ft. lbs. of energy.
Nosler and Federal have a long history together in this line: the Nosler Partition, being the proven entity that it is, was the very first projectile loading in the Federal Premium line and offers the same type of performance and consistency that helped make the Federal Premium Rifle ammunition the powerhouse hunting round that they have become.
