Hornady’s Varmint Express line of ammunition is designed to best complement the performance of the Nebraskan manufacturer’s V-MAX projectile. This 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridge’s 95 grain bullet has a polymer tip which sits over a shaft formed with in its swaged lead core. Upon impact the tip drives downward until it makes contact with the core, triggering catastrophic fragmentation of both the core and the highly concentric jacket wrapped around it. The result? One less varmint.

The V-MAX is an extremely accurate bullet thanks to its match grade AMP jacket, the sharpness and symmetry of its polymer meplat, and its profile which fortifies its in-flight stability. This round’s brass casing assures smooth cycling through any platform, and its propellant delivers a supersonic 3,300 fps muzzle velocity to provide the accuracy and power needed to kill relatively small targets.
