These 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridges are your one-way ticket to sub-MOA city with both bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles that were built expressly for long-range precision. Each round is assembled using a clean-igniting Boxer primer that is installed at the base of a factory-fresh brass casing. The casings are reloadable so that you can mix up some custom handloads after these rounds have been fired. Other components include Federal’s own choice of high-energy powder and a 120-grain OTM projectile.
OTMs, or open-tip match bullets, are manufactured using precisely formed jackets with lead cores that are formed by pouring the material into the jackets’ open cavities. This type of process ensures sleek outer dimensions, balanced inner density, and consistent total weights that all contribute to uniform accuracy downrange. The 120-grain bullet matches the lighter metric for the 6.5mm Creedmoor caliber, making it a great choice for zeroing and practice that will reflect more expensive hunting rounds.
