Federal engages their production facility’s state of the art technology in a number of ways. This 6.5 Creedmoor is exactly that — one which won’t be a great burden on your wallet, but which will let you bag the next buck you encounter. (Or 20, if you use the whole box of ammo the right way.)
This cartridge features a 140 grain jacketed soft point projectile. The bullet’s jacket extends all the way to its tip, and benefits performance by promoting smooth feeding, lessening the occurrence of bore fouling, preventing barrel deformation, and facilitating reliable penetration. That its soft lead core is exposed at the bullet’s flat meplat means that it will widen substantially during penetration, providing the terminal performance necessary to stop even the most rugged buck dead in its tracks.
This round’s brass casing is ideal for handloading, and its sensitive primer and consistent propellant charge won’t leave behind a great many residues which could harm your weapon’s action.
