This cartridge is decked out with a middleweight 200 grain jacketed hollow point. That 30 grain weight reduction amounts to a faster muzzle velocity without added unwanted chamber pressure, so you’ll see a flat trajectory that punches hard on impact. The JHP’s rim is imprinted a symmetrical array of notches that allow it to break apart evenly during penetration of soft tissue. But the bullet’s most noticeable feature is its Hex-Vent – a hard polymer insert which keeps the nose cavity free and clear of fabric and other obstructions before it can supply wide and uniform terminal expansion.
These American-made cartridges spark up right on cue thanks to their top-shelf match primers. Their brass cases are also plated with nickel. The shiny metal makes each round more visible in the chamber, and also smooths out the cartridge so it can slide more efficiently into position. Nickel-plated cases also boast enhanced corrosion resistance!
