An almost unmatched round for the hunting of big game with a .44 Magnum or for personal defense and home protection purposes. They have for decades been a premium producer of bullets and their impeccable XPB jacketed hollow point projectile is what tips this load. The 225 grain projectile is an all copper bullet with a massive expansion potential, with some bullets expanding to almost double their native size. The huge weight retention benefits of the monolithic copper projectile means that all the penetration and bone-crushing power is retained at impact.
The low flash powder is some of the cleanest burning powder you will find anywhere, and the potent delivery of the payload means that the 1275 feet per second velocity of the 225 grain projectile will result in the proper amount of penetration for big game and the effective delivery of energy on target. The serious ballistics of the cartridge paired with the serious engineering of the Barnes XPB bullet combine to offer unbeatable stopping power regardless of the shooting scenario.
Please note that this cartridge requires a barrel twist of 1:20″ or faster.
