One trigger pull. Two separate wound channels. That’s the kind of terminal performance you can only expect from your 357 Magnum revolver when you choose Doubletap’s Equalizer ammunition!

This personal defense cartridge takes a clever approach to maximizing its terminal ballistics. The bullet is actually loaded with two discrete bullets: a conventional 125 grain jacketed hollow point, and the 70 grain disc-shaped wadcutter the JHP sits atop. The JHP will fan outward to maximize damage to surrounding soft tissues. The wadcutter does not undergo deformation, and accordingly penetrates very deeply. At close range (~5 yards) the two projectiles will reliably strike within 1” of each other, which spells an extremely serious problem for your would-be assailant.

Doubletap graciously provides muzzle velocities for three different test barrel lengths:
• 1-7/8” – 990 fps (424 ft lbs combined muzzle energy)
• 4” – 1,100 fps (524 ft lbs combined muzzle energy)
• 6” – 1,145 fps (568 ft lbs combined muzzle energy)
