This 308 Win cartridge by Fiocchi features a 150 grain pointed soft point bullet. A popular bullet type for hunting, the pointed soft point permits stellar accuracy at longer distances compared to a round nosed projectile. Furthermore, that soft point permits the bullet to expand within its target, making it that much more likely to damage a vital organ to bring down game. The jacket this bullet sports controls the expansion, and further helps its bullet avoid becoming deformed in flight and leaving excessive residue in the rifle’s bore. The pointed soft point may not offer quite the stopping power as the most high tech, state of the art bullets do, but for its price it’s certainly an attractive option in the field.
