Many hunters who haven’t shot the .300 Winchester Magnum for a lot of years don’t realize the incredible versatility of this Magnum belted cartridge, which on the surface seems like a lot of cartridge for deer hunting. The 180 grain fusion projectile features all of the best of the fusion line, including that skived tip that means you will get repeatable mushrooming and deformation as well as the chemically bonded jacket which won’t separate from the lead core – leading to excellent weight retention.
For reloaders of the .300 WM, you know what it costs for good quality brass in a belted Magnum. This therefore offers a cheap alternative to great heavy duty brass that can easily be reloaded thanks to the brass case and the Boxer primer. The lacquer sealed primer and the crimped throat application means this is a weather resistant round that will hang out for a long time on the shelf without any concerns in your ammo closet or in the field as you go for trophy bucks and other larger game.
