The Scirocco Bonded bullet’s polymer tip is precisely shaped to reduce frontal air resistance to the greatest degree possible. Its jacket’s secant ogive profile and thick boat tail base similarly streamline the projectile, and its long driving band enhances its overall gyroscopic stability. In addition to flattening the Scirocco Bonded’s trajectory, all of these features ensure that the bullet reaches its target with an overwhelming amount of kinetic energy.
The Scirocco Bonded is, as you may have guessed, a bonded bullet. Even at relatively close range the bullet sheds no less than one-quarter of its weight, thus assuring it retains the mass it needs to plow through even the densest muscle and bone. The polymer tip’s tail is planted inside the lead core’s nose cavity, and has an easy time commencing wide terminal expansion at lower velocities thanks to the tapered copper jacket’s attenuated rim.
