This Silver Series 30-06 Springfield hunting cartridge features Browning’s precision-plated soft point projectile. In all fairness, the bullet’s plating is only cosmetic and isn’t actually made out of silver. The bullet’s exposed lead core and surrounding notched rim aren’t there for appearances, though. They team up to deliver the rapid expansion that ends a hunt the instant after you pull the trigger.

This round’s heavier 180 grain bullet conserves more energy downrange. Its 0.381 G1 ballistic coefficient means it will reach 200 yards with over 2,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy – double the minimum recommended for whitetail – and its 0.271 sectional density translates to deeper penetration at any range. The shiny bullet is seated in a new and reloadable brass shell.
