As the Gold Dot burrows deeply, its specially engineered nose cavity comes into play. That hollow has been formed over the course of a precise two-step process to control exactly how quickly and how widely it can cause expansion. A Gold Dot’s terminal performance is predictable, which helps to even the odds during a physical altercation that can be said to be anything but.
This round’s reliability extends throughout its supporting components — a sensitive Boxer primer by CCI, a select propellant charge that ignites to generate a constant chamber pressure, and a high quality brass casing. That casing is further plated with nickel to keep corrosion from damaging it, as well as to enhance lubricity for surefire feeding and extraction in a semi-automatic. Please note that this is a +P cartridge which must only be loaded in a weapon that can handle its increased pressure.
