Igman, a Balkan ammo manufacturer that has been in business since 1950, loads nonmagnetic projectiles. As such this 55 grain full metal jacket ammo is welcome at safety-conscious commercial ranges. The lead-core brass-jacket bullet produces normal barrel fouling until it achieves a very normal muzzle velocity of 3,180 fps. It may not expand after impact, although small game and varmints are still no match for a well-placed FMJ.
Igman sealed this ammo’s noncorrosive Boxer primers as an added precaution against water infiltration. The company only loads new, reloadable brass cases. In true military-grade ammo fashion, the cases’ necks are still darkened where they were heat-treated for added toughness.
