This 44 Special cartridge by Blazer features a 200 grain jacketed hollow point bullet. Unlike a traditional hollow point, the jacket this round’s bullet includes permits much easier feeding in semi-automatic pistols, in addition to the prevention of lead fouling. The jacket aids in penetration as well, which along with the normal expanding action of the hollow point will provide devastating stopping power with a lesser risk of over-penetration that could put bystanders’ safety in jeopardy. The only real downside is that this bullet may not expand quite as well when it encounters thick clothing, but any human-sized target wearing a ski parka is certain to feel it nonetheless.

This cartridge also features a non-corrosive Berdan primed aluminum casing. Because it’s not affected by volatile market prices for copper, this casing is more cost-effective to produce, and that is reflected in its cartridge’s price tag. Aluminum weighs less than brass too, so you may feel a little lighter when you load this round in your everyday carry.
