When it comes to training at the range, the only thing more important than practice is consistent practice. The Speer 95 grain .380 Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) provides a recoil and point of aim similar to high performance self-defense ammunition, and allows you to start training exactly how you fight.
Unlike traditional full metal jacketed ammunition that leaves the lead core exposed at the base of the round, Speer’s Total Metal Jacket engineering encases the entire round within the copper jacket. This reduces the level of lead contiantments in the air while training in indoor ranges, and leads to better accuracy than traditional range ammunition as well. In terms of practical use, you can consider the TMJ bullet similar in performance to the FMJ and we’d suggest you stick to using these rounds at the range for training rather than self-defense.
Cleaning burning propellants are free of heavy metal contaminants, and provide a hotter, more reliable burn for consistent bullet velocities in any climate.
