The soft point bullet has been a deer hunter’s staple for decades. Hornady took everything that works about the classic bullet – and made it much, much better – when they introduced the InterLock!

This 25-06 Rem cartridge slays a buck with a 117 grain soft point boat tail (SPBT) bullet. Its soft point provides positive expansion without the need for an expensive, additional polymer tip; its boat tail helps the bullet to retain more energy as well as follow a flatter trajectory downrange.

The InterLock’s jacket features a system of inner grooves. These strategically weaken the jacket, thus forcing deformation to take place along a reliable axis. The InterLock’s jacket is further tapered to promote even more reliable expansion, and its one-piece core remains intact to retain superior momentum as the bullet plows through soft tissue.

This bullet also features a cannelure and proprietary InterLock ring, both of which mechanically anchor the core to its jacket to prevent the two from separating. This helps prevent too shallow a wound channel for a fast and humane kill!
